Summary
The EVO.VuVault.com** GovCloud-based software application enables law enforcement agencies to quickly and easily manage their digital video evidence across all of Digital Ally's latest products, including the newly designed EVO In-Car recording system. EVO GovCloud is utilized for playing back, downloading, archiving, reviewing, unit configuration and management, running customizable reports and chain of custody logs, sharing videos as well as capturing and storing other digital documents and media. It leverages the near-realtime connection between the GovCloud and the EVO units deployed in the field, allowing features such as real time location tracking, remote recording triggers, and remote support.
My Contribution
I designed and coded the first concept version of EVO.VuVault.com using more current and versatile code technologies, relying on AWS's GovCloud infrastructure, NodeJS, and the AWS SDK. The goal was to provide a comprehensive, powerful solution that was cost effective and flexible depending on the direction Digital Ally Inc. wanted to proceed.
After the concept was vetted, I managed a team of web developers to oversee the final design with improvements from the original core software. We improved the user interface, added support for previous Digital Ally devices, and added key features including Video Redaction, Sharing, near-real time tracking, and an integration API.
