Summary

The FleetVu Manager ** Web Application, along with Digital Ally's In-Car Recorder and ATU, provides commercial fleets and commercial fleet managers with the digital video tools they need to increase driver safety, track assets in real-time and minimize the company's liability risk.

My Contribution

I designed and coded the first version of FleetVu Manager from the ground up. Built with a combination of Coldfusion, NodeJS, and Javascript, the solution was served up from AWS EC2 instances. It utilized AWS S3 storage, a MySQL RDS database, and several other services provided by AWS. I was responsible for the learning the proprietary processes that Digital Ally uses to securely move their digital content and adapt the web application to work with this process.

After the initial release, I was responsible for helping to find and train the team that continued to improve the application. We added features and improvements to the user interface and reporting modules.

I helped source and implement FleetVu Manager's ATU's (Asset Tracking Unit) so that real-time location and additional metadata could be tracked and searched.

• Monitor and manage vehicles and drivers
• Search, review, and share videos collected from the In-Car Recorder
• Create driver behavior reports, comparative to the rest of the fleet, to help managers improve their driver's behavior
• Implement a full mapping feature, based on Here Maps, to show resource and video location
• Automated alert feature for behavior and other milestones
• Connected driver application for driver check-in, maintenance scheduling, and vehicle association
